Cristiano Ronaldo's massive pay salary is set for another staggering hike that will make him the world's richest athlete. If he accepts a deal being offered by an unnamed Chinese Super League club, it would push the Real Madrid star to new heights in the financial stratosphere. Spanish media is reporting that Ronaldo has been offered a staggering $NZ311 million (£176million) by his club to remain in Spain. According to a report by Spanish angency Marca, an unnamed Chinese Super League club are desperate to land the Portugal star and have tabled a second bid. They are prepared to offer Ronaldo $NZ185 million (£105m-a-year) - making him the highest paid athlete ever.
